Learn more about sending payments to the United Kingdom

Please ensure you have funded your GBP balance in order to send payments to the UK. You can swap from supported currencies to GBP or deposit funds using your UK account.

We only support sending GBP to the United Kingdom via Faster Payments (FPS), CHAPs, or Bacs.

Here's how:

On the website

  • Log in to your account.

  • Proceed to "Accounts" and select your GBP balance.

  • Click on "Send Money," fill out the requested details, and follow the prompt.


On the mobile app

  • Log in to your account.

  • On the homepage, select your GBP balance from the dropdown.

  • Click the Send icon, fill out the requested details, and follow the prompt.


  • Using Grey tags, you can send GBP to a Grey user or send funds to a new recipient. You can learn how to create a Grey tag here and send funds using Grey tag here.

  • If you choose to send to a new recipient, you must fill out specific details like the recipient's country, recipient type, account number, sort code, swift code, first and last name, and a description (optional).

  • Once you have inputted the details, you need to validate the recipient. After the beneficiary has been validated, you can input your 2FA code and complete your transaction.

  • GBP transactions usually take 1-3 working days, excluding weekends and public holidays.

  • There is a 0.5 % fee charged when you send funds at a minimum of 5 GBP.

  • You can send out a minimum of 20 GBP and a maximum of 5,000 GBP per transaction.
