Managing your Grey account is now more straightforward than ever.

Reactivating a Deleted/Closed Account

It is important to distinguish between temporary deletion and permanent account closure. While temporarily deleted accounts can be reactivated through signing into your account, permanently closed accounts cannot be reactivated. Here's how to reactivate a closed account:

  • Log in to the Grey app using your registered email address.

  • Verify your email when prompted.

Once the verification process is complete, temporarily deactivated accounts will be reactivated, enabling access to your funds and services. However, permanently closed accounts are not eligible for reactivation.

Funds and Account Deletion

Users with existing balances in their Grey accounts can delete or close them. If you decide to reactivate the account later, your funds will still be accessible. This ensures your money is secure and available when you return to Grey.

However, users with a negative balance will not be allowed to delete or close their accounts. Kindly ensure your account balance is cleared before initiating the deletion process.

Deleting/Closing Your Account

To delete or close your Grey account, please do the following:

  • Open the Grey app.

  • Click on More and choose "Your Profile."

  • Scroll to the bottom and choose "Close Account."

  • Follow the prompts to delete your account.

If you cannot see this option, please contact our support team directly. Here's how:

  • Open the Grey app.

  • Click on More and scroll to the bottom.

  • Choose Talk to Support.

  • Submit a request to close your account.

Our support team will help you with the process. Please note that this step is required to ensure compliance with our policies and to verify your request.

  • Self-reactivation is available only to users who have verified their email.

  • Deleting your account does not erase your transaction history or data permanently, as per regulatory requirements.

  • For security and compliance, users with unresolved negative balances cannot delete or close their accounts until the balance is cleared.
