Our Crypto Swap feature lets you trade one digital asset for another without needing fiat currency as an intermediary. For example, you can swap Ethereum (ETH) for USDC, Bitcoin (BTC) for Ethereum (ETH), or any other supported cryptocurrency pair.

How to swap cryptocurrency on Grey

Follow these simple steps to exchange one crypto for another:

Step 1: Navigate to the Swap Crypto feature

Open your Grey app and go to the Grow tab. Tap the More button, then select Swap from the options.

Step 2: Select your source and destination cryptocurrencies

Choose the cryptocurrency you want to swap from (source crypto) and the cryptocurrency you want to receive to (destination crypto).

Example:

  • Source crypto: Ethereum (ETH)

  • Destination crypto: USDC

Step 3: Enter the amount

Enter the amount you want to swap. You can specify:

  • The amount of source crypto you want to exchange (e.g., 1 ETH), or

  • The amount of destination crypto you want to receive (e.g., 2,500 USDC)

We will automatically calculate the equivalent amount for the other field based on live market rates.

Step 4: Review conversion rates and fees

Our system fetches real-time conversion rates and displays:

  • Source crypto amount

  • Current exchange rate

  • Destination crypto amount

  • Transaction fees

  • Final amount you'll receive after fees.

This ensures you know exactly what you're trading and what you'll receive.

Step 5: Confirm and authorise the transaction

Once you've reviewed the details and are satisfied with the rate and fees, confirm the swap. You will need to authorise the transaction using your transaction PIN or Two-factor authentication (2FA), or Face ID/Fingerprint.

Step 6: Transaction is completed

After you authorise the swap, we will complete the crypto-to-crypto exchange immediately. The destination cryptocurrency will be credited to the Grey crypto wallet, typically within seconds to a few minutes. I need to edit this once they release the new build.
